Mali Ston

Oyster & Sushi Bar

At the seaside promenade in Mali Ston, in the medieval salt storage room there is a restaurant called "Bota", which is an old name for arched ceiling.

The restaurant offers and nourishes the original autochthonous Dalmatian cuisine, and the inspiration for their dishes is drawn from the two old cookbooks found in dusty corners of this monumental building. Oyster as a symbol of this area, and then all other shells, crabs and fish are stored according to original Ston receipes from the time of the Dubrovnik Republic.

Homemade bread, grilled fish, stews, risottos & pastas, and various desserts of this region will impress you and return to the past glorious times of this region ...

Amazing food, great staff, beautiful oyster experience!

We loved this lovely family restaurant! We had seafood salad, it was really fresh and tasty. Also we had black risotto and tuna steak. Tuna was amazing and vegetables with it was magnificent. Our waiter Stipe was very polite and professional, he gave us advice about food we ate. They also offer oyster tours to the local oyster farms, that was really amazing experience! Definetely worth a visit!

Great seafood in a wonderful setting

Bota Sare is a pretty little restaurant on the waterfront in Mali Ston. The scenery outside is so beautiful that one should linger over one's meal! We ordered oysters, fish and prawns all of which were perfect. Special mention must be made of the excellent service by the young man who looked after our table of seven. He was pleasant, courteous and extremely attentive, clearing away plates, replacing implements, refilling glasses. I would strongly recommend a stop here for a meal if you are passing this way, for the food, the setting and the service.

Tour of Oyster farm

In the heart of Oyster farm country, what a great place for lunch and probably dinner too. We went to visit an oyster farm and then when we got off the boat we realized it’s time for lunch. We proceeded to have more oysters, (why not,) fresh sardines, scallops and a nicely made risotto along with a nice crisp Croatian wine. Can you think of a better way to spend the afternoon?
